New Luxury High Rise at Frisco Station Finally Underway

The Atlanta-based Novare Group and BCDC’s much anticipated SkyHouse Frisco Station project has finally started to get underway. The 25-story luxury apartment building is being built on the 242-acre Frisco Station project right in the heart of Frisco. When it is completed, SkyHouse Frisco Station will officially be the tallest building in Frisco.

President of the Novare Group, Jim Borders, stated, “Frisco Station, as the vision of Hillwood, The Rudman Partnership, and VanTrust Real Estate, brings together intelligent interwoven design, melding, wellness, productivity, and creativity. SkyHouse Frisco Station will be urban mixed-use social center living at its best, combining all of the amenities expected from a premiere luxury development with the convenience and excitement of living within walking distance of work, restaurants, shopping, and of course, the neighboring mixed-use development The Star.”

The new building is expected to have a total of 332 units available, with a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Amenities for residents will include:

  • Sky deck on 25th floor
  • Resort style swimming pool
  • Outdoor kitchen for residents
  • Outdoor fireplaces
  • Lounge with seating, big screen TVs, pool table, and shuffleboard for entertainment
  • 24-hour gym
  • Dog spa
  • Controlled access garage
  • Business center with a gourmet coffee bar
  • Conference room
  • Common space WiFi
  • Pilates and Yoga room

This is actually the second major living development now under way in Frisco. Station House is expected to be completed this summer and will feature 301 units. In all, Frisco is looking to have a total of 2,400 units available when the entire project is completed.

The Hub, which is the centerpiece of the entire project, is 200,000 sq. ft. of entertainment, retail, and dining/nightlife experiences. In addition to the various types of shops, The Hub is also incorporating parks, development space, medical facilities, hotels, and open spaces. In other words, it is a community within a community.

These types of communities are popping up all over the country in suburbs just like Frisco and are proving to be very popular. If one chooses, you could literally stay within the confines of your own community, assuming you worked at one of the businesses located on its grounds, and never have to leave The Hub.

In addition to the convenience, people I personally know that live in these types of communities love the “community” aspect of it. They tend to develop stronger friendships with people they see around town simply because they are seeing many of the same people around “town” virtually every day.

The Novare Group currently has two projects in Dallas, SkyHouse Dallas (pictured) and Victory Place. Both properties start their studio units right around $1,300, one-bedrooms at around $1,500, two-bedrooms just over $2,000, and three-bedrooms at around $3,000 per month. I would expect the Frisco project to come in right around that price as well.

We plan on keeping an eye on both the SkyHouse and Station House as they get closer to opening their doors.
